Hi, I'm T.L. Albrecht!
I'm a brand new romance author who writes love stories that will have you both sweating in your seat and kicking your feet. I strive to create stories that will not only leave you swooning, but whose messages will (hopefully) stay with you long after you turn the last page.
I discovered my love for reading at a young age, and have been devouring stories for as long as I can remember. My love for reading rapidly expanded into a deep love for creating stories. You know how sometimes you have a dream when you're little, but, as you grow, the reality of the world around you sinks in, and suddenly that dream feels so unbelievably distant?
Well, that's kind of what happened to me. I can still, so clearly, remember thinking to myself when I was younger "I'm going to be a published author one day." I had never been so sure of anything in my entire life. Now, all these years later, that dream is finally a reality. It's hard work, and sometimes I laugh, and sometimes (more often than I'd like to admit) I cry.
But one thing stays absolutely constant through it all: I would not change this passion of mine for the world.
Like a lot of my characters, I've struggled to find my place. I've jumped from school to school and job to job, just trying to find something that fit me. And now, after years of searching and feeling like a failure, I've finally found it.
You see, these stories are just stories to some people, and that's okay. But to me? They are the culmination of everything I dared to dream up for myself. They mark the beginning of refusing to let the "what ifs" hold me back any longer. This world is an unforgiving place- one that will continuously beat you down and try to shove you into pre-determined little boxes that will never be able to fully encompass all that you are.
So, if you take nothing else away from this, take this: don't spend another second letting other people or the expectations of who you should be, dictate how you live your life. The world deserves to see all of those crazy dreams you dared to think up, before reality beat you into submission. Dare to laugh, create, and love.
But most of all, dare to dream. There is beauty on the other side of your fear. You just need to find the courage to discover it.
